The Quaich Bar at the Craigellachie Hotel probably does not need introduction to any serious single malt whisky connoisseur. With many awards such as "The Best Whisky Bar in the World" (Scottish Field magazine), "The Glenlivet Whisky Bar of the Year" and "The Glenmorangie Hotel Bar of the Year" it has build up quite a name in the whisky world. With around 700 malts to choose from, you're guaranteed to have a few evenings of fun whenever you find yourself in the Speyside!

For both your requests: I have a peatfreak mailinglist which will receive an email when there are updates on the website. And there is also a daily email with the headlines added in the news section. Both can be found in the News & Site menu option (Daily News EMail and the Newsletter)

While the quaich bar is wonderful, spend some time there, but take a stroll across the street to the Higlander Inn. Owner Duncan Elphick, and Bar Manager(whisky expert bar none) Tatsuya are a delight. The food is also great. Nice patio overlooking the Spey.

Have stayed at the hotel twice, and visited the bar on many a night. Thank God I only had to navigate the stairway and the hallway at the end of those evenings. Love the place and the people there!
