 Lagavulin
is situated in a small bay to which the entrance is guarded by Dunyvaig castle.
The castle was placed there by the "Lord of the Isles". This kingdom
once stretched over much of the western coast of Scotland, and they had their
headquarters at Finlaggan, Islay. Lagavulin is the Islay representative in the
"Classic Malts". A product line of whisky giant Diageo where 6 malts
each represent the characteristics of a specific region.
