This VR Distillery feature brings you to Glenfarclas.
The distillery lies in the Speyside whisky district and lies directly
at the foot of Benrinnes. The location received a license for distilling
in 1836, but it was not until 1865 that the Grant family was performing
the distillation. And the distillery is still in the hands of the same
family, a rare sight these days in the corporate whisky world. The slogan
“The Spirit of Independence” is one they use with great
pride.
