Bruichladdich - The Sophisticated Islay Single malt

N&T Program

Download This Free Program Too Store Your Tasting Notes

Little program to store notes you make during Single Malt Whisky tasting events. It allows viewing notes ordered on distillery name, expression name, the score you gave or on comments. You can also filter on a string, so you can for example just watch the notes from one distillery, or search back anything you wrote down in its comments.

This program is entirely freeware, you can download and install it for free, and there are no catches at all. If you like to pass it to your friends, please instead provide them the link to this website.
If you feel like making a donation you can find more information here, it is much appreciated, and will always be used to further improve the website.

Some key features of the program:

  1. One handy to use program to store are your tasting notes.
  2. Order notes on name, score or custom variables.
  3. Filter notes to display only a certain distillery, find a certain description back, etc.
  4. Generate HTML files of your tasting notes for display on your website.
  5. Copy tasting notes to your clipboard for easy pasting in e-mail's, forums, etc.
  6. Look up tasting notes online from within the program.
  7. Submit tasting notes to our online database.
  8. Customizable field for your own preferred description.
  9. Print a selection of tasting notes.
  10. And this all for free!

Current version is 2.5 (1 September 2005).

  • Fixed all URL's as these files has been changed on the website.
  • Using a different package now to make the installation file.
  • Version 2.4 was an internal version, so hence the skip to 2.5.

Small note: if you previously gave the folder a different name then the default one, you can now copy/paste the config.ini and your database (ends with .data) in the new directory. Simply open the database with the buttons on the bottom of the program and all work as expected from there.

Changes in version 2.3 - 2.4:

  • The program can now be resized again. Due to some human errors this problem was introduced by myself a few versions ago.
  • On Windows XP and using the new themes, the background of the text elements did not match the rest of the program's background, this is fixed now.
  • On some versions of Windows it would select the wrong note once you created a new note. I have no idea how this happens. But I added an option on the configuration panel to fix this if it happens for you.
