Glen Grant is another Speyside distillery that offers
free tours. Weird enough, the distillery site is not really famed for
its distillery tours, but more so because of the gardens behind the distillery.
The distillery founder Grant had a keen interest in gardening and the
current owners have restored the garden in former galore.  Major
Grant had a treat for visitors of his garden; all the way up the glen
he had a save build in the rock above the burn where he kept a bottle
of his whisky together with a few glasses to surprise his companion.
The tour itself is OK, but not really remarkable. After a video which
explains a little about the character major Grant we are being guided
through the distillery, where our guide explains us Glen Grant is one
of the few distilleries left who still use copper stills... Like... huh?
As said before, the real treat is the garden behind the distillery, but
then even so, you can never beat a free tour! Must return some day to
see whether all tour guides have this level of knowledge...
